This Arkansas Senator Just Introduced a Bill to Ban Same-Sex Marriage Nationwide

State Sen. Jason Rapert just introduced a bill to add an Arkansas constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage in all 50 states.

The text of the bill, SjR7, reads, “Nothing in this Constitution or in the constitution or laws of any state may define or be construed to define marriage except as the union of one man and one woman, and no other union shall be recognized with legal incidents thereof within the United States or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”

The bill is little more than “an application to Congress to call a convention for proposing an amendment to the United States Constitution concerning the definition of ‘marriage.'”

Basically it’s a powerless move by a local politician who isn’t actually able to facilitate change in our national government, but its impetus is clear.

With a majority GOP Congress and an empty Supreme Court seat waiting to be filled by a Republican president, the future for same-sex marriage is starting to look grim.

To be clear, the constitutional amendment process is an extremely difficult one and is rather unlikely, but the desire by so many GOP Congressmen to overturn the U.S. Supreme Court’s gay marriage decision in Obergefell v. Hodges is extremely disheartening.

    Hey you know something despite the similarities you can’t always compare everything with the other. Gay marriage you can’t compare that in every way. The right to bear arms was already a right but there are laws about what is permitted with purchasing and what is not permitted. There are responsible ways to use a gun and responsible ways to drink alcohol as well. It is not the guns that kill the people the people it the people killing people; in other words these means that is how you or another person handles the gun that leads to whether or not it kills another person whether it justifiable or not justifiable at all.

    Now gay marriage, I don’t know how to tell you this but how shameful that people and of course anyone can twist the constitution.     That would be nice if that had this constitutional amendment but I have my doubts about it being able to pass. I have already seen how civil rights can be twisted and it already has been twisted. Losing respect to somewhat of an extent for a majority of the federal judges if not all of them as well as a majority of somewhat of an extent with the Supreme Court Justices if not all of them is what I have right now. I don’t want to hate them it is just I don’t like all of that behavior with how they interpreted it.

    Now I will make my example of this thing about what people say with regards to scientific data that they think is true but is actually not entirely accurate and I here is something that in part told something to someone a little while ago and here it is…

    okay these are my words so listen and I suggest you listen to me carefully.

    Okay the reason why it is NOT RELEVANT NOR IS IT IMPORTANT AT ALL in the end when it comes to 2 people of the same gender marrying has to with protecting children and growing up in the right in environment. To explain this to some extent you know how the statistics say that children are unaffected by gay parenting when they adopt them… you see that is NOT entirely accurate and it may not be even accurate at all as this behavior can actually confuse children and their gender. First of all… they don’t get to choose who their parents are that adopt them anyway but in a sense it is still better than being in an orphanage because at least they have some love from the same gender parents. This is not to say they are bad parents because they can still do a pretty good job but won’t actually get quite the same benefit as opposite gender parents. Second of all as to why this is irrelevant and I will point out the fact also regarding while gays have been bullied and treated unfairly at times… sometimes they themselves can also be bullies and treat other people unfairly from time to time and contrary to what people, the majority of federal judges and the Supreme Court of America thought regarding this gay marriage thing… The sad fact of the matter here is that they never where entitled to this so called marriage equality and there were other ways this could have been worked out other then just perverting the meaning of equality. It is not entirely about civil rights, well it is about civil rights but regardless of who’s view point, civil rights in a perverted way. There is a difference between civil rights and civil rights through perversion, especially regarding the 14th amendment which is about equality.

    Think about how there are people who confuse peace with terror as there are people who confuse civil rights with perverting civil rights just to get what they want and for something contrary to what they believe they actually never ever where entitled to this marriage equality. The Federal Judges are supposed to follow the constitution and so is the Supreme Court of America. The sad thing here is that a majority of the federal judges if not all of them, same thing with the federal appeals court judges if not all of them, and the SCOTUS justices if not all of them involved either are NOT even following the constitution. Depending on the justices and federal judges past and present… they have not always followed the constitution, they are not even following it the way it is supposed to be interpreted. They are basing it off their opinion of what they think the law should be rather than basing it off an opinion of what the law naturally should and is literally supposed be. Okay and think it safe to say they never will follow the way the are supposed to. This is unless the president finds the right replacement justices to overturn that perverted federal ruling they probably never will follow the constitution the way it was intended to be and correction they never will may anyway. I know the supreme court has not always followed the constitution.
