Tonight on 20/20, Diane Sawyer sits down with Caitlyn Jenner. This marks two years since her first interview with Jenner where the former Olympian came out to the world as transgender.
Since then, Jenner has faced backlash from the LGBT community with her political affiliations with the Republican party. In the preview from tonight’s interview, she admits to Sawyer that she voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 election.
“The question has been raised… are you still a Trump Republican?” Sawyer asks her.
“Here’s the deal, yes, I did vote for Trump, but here’s the deal breaker with the Republican party… You mess with my community, you do the wrong thing with our community, you don’t give us equality and a fair shot, I’m coming after you,” Caitlyn Jenner responds.
“When it comes to all equality issues, for the entire LGBT community, what we need is federal guidance,” she continues. “I’m trying to get the Republican party to make a change.”
“Do you still think McConnell, Pence… do you think they’ll see you if you call them?” Sawyer responds.
Jenner answers, “I know they will.”
She also clarified her stance on gay marriage, saying, “Get it straight: I am all for [gay marriage].”

Jenner is set to appear on The View next week as well after coming under much criticism from the show’s panel regarding her support for Trump. These interviews and appearances are anticipating the release of her memoir, The Secrets of My Life.
One person who is not happy about Caitlyn Jenner’s memoir is Kris Jenner.
“None of it makes sense,” Kris Jenner tells her daughters Khloé and Kim Kardashian in a preview for Sunday’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“I read it and basically the only nice thing she had to say was that I was great socially at a party one time …. Everything she says is all made up. Why does everything have to be that Kris is such a bitch and an a–hole?”
“I’ve never been so angry and disappointed in somebody in my whole life.”
