id=”attachment_5455″ Get this man a stick of gum, STAT!

Now that there are seven or eight inches, excuse me, imitators of the revolutionary little blue pill that started it all, Viagra is firming up plans for other forms of its erectile dysfunction medication. Viagra Jet, a chewing gum that induces erections. is already producing tent pole sales in Mexico.

Perhaps anxious about appearing soft to the competition, Levitra is currently hard at work pumping out its new dissolvable powder in nine European countries. (Think Emergen-C with vitamins B, O, N, E & R.

Having risen above their competitors in recent years, Cialis owes their swollen market share to their 36-hour “Weekender” pill (Re: Cialis PRIDE).

The hard fact of the matter is that providing punch to packages is big, throbbing business these days. The erectile dysfunction market pulled in $5 Billion last year, and is used by ten million men. A form of the medication is even being developed for children, though not as a sexual aid.

id=”attachment_5457″ We’re all be there before.

NYT reports:

The chemical patent expires on March 27, 2012. Pfizer may be able to extend it another six months, to September 2012, under a federal law called the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act. The law is meant to encourage drug companies to study children’s uses, often a difficult and unprofitable area.

In this case, what would be studied is not Viagra for children, but Revatio, a formulation of the same chemical, sildenafil, which is approved for pulmonary arterial hypertension, a rare and dangerous condition affecting hundreds of children in the United States. Mr. Jimeson said the company was working closely with the Food and Drug Administration to discuss the pediatric studies of Revatio and the potential for an extension on the chemical patent, which would also protect Viagra and its prices.

Frankly, we’ve never tried the stuff, but we can see how some people may be interested in popping one in every now and then – a piece of gum that is.

Do any of these new sexual aids arouse your interest?

    That’s nuts! (pun intended)

Not at all interested. I’ve found a topical product that works great, is only $10 and I don’t have to worry about side effects: http://shop.thevelvetvenus.com/Rocket-Balm-8770.htm

I’ve tried a few of the female versions of the stuff and had no luck.

  • Revatio was approved to treat Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension in 2005. It’s a rare disease with no cure. It can be deadly, so it’s great that it was discovered to help manage this disease. Ironically, the primary reason it’s not currently used is because the patent on Sildenafil makes the medication prohibitively expensive to use in most cases. Extending it six months won’t do anyone with PAH any favors.

GREAT use of double entendre throughout.*slowclap*

    Keep it up! 😉

  • i love the logic: let’s test a drug that’ll give kids boners in order to save their lives. BRILLIANT!!!

Since when were drug companies concerned about the well-being of any group of people with any form of illness?

  • ShowMeGuy

It worked just fine. It was designed to transfer some of your money to the drug company which made it.  That is all it was ever designed to do.
