See and Be Seen at Frameline 47, San Francisco’s Celebrated LGBTQ+ Film Festival

San Francisco’s acclaimed international LGBTQ+ film festival, Frameline 47 has announced its full roster of films for this year’s annual event, which will take place June 14-24. The festival will kick off San Francisco Pride and features nearly 90 programs, in both San Francisco and Oakland, including 47 programs at the renowned Castro Theatre.

The list of films released today runs the gamut from feature-length narratives to captivating documentaries and inspiring shorts. Some highlights include ‘God Save the Queens’ which tells the story of four LA queens trying to get their careers back on track, featuring RuPaul’s Drag Race alums Alaska Thunderfuck, Manila Luzon, Kelly Mantle, and Laganja Estranja, ‘Every Body,’ an eye-opening look into the life of intersex individuals, and ‘Cora Bora’  the Meg Stalter-led story of a chaotic poly bisexual musician on the pursuit of winning back her ex. In addition to the over 100 queer films playing across the Bay area, the 11-day-long festival will host in-depth panel discussions, known as Frameline Talks, which offer “thought-provoking Q&As with filmmakers, famous faces, and community personalities.”

And for those of you who can’t attend the event in person, Frameline 47 also has streaming access. With the Streaming Encore pass, many of the films shown at the festival can be viewed from anywhere across the country. Almost 60 of the programs at Frameline 47 will be made available to stream making this the largest collection of streaming titles from any LGBTQ+ film festival.
