Whether you find yourself in Puerto Vallarta for a romantic getaway or are here to party with your squad, this resort town has been Mexico’s top gay destination for years. With cobblestone roads, stunning beaches and breathtaking mountains, Puerto Vallarta, “La Ciudad Mas Amigable del Mundo,” will take your breath away with its stunning natural sceneries.
There’s never a dull moment when you vacation in this beautiful Mexican city, located in the state of Jalisco. Here’s your guide to gay Puerto Vallarta, home to warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, and a rich culture.
Playa Los Muertos
You simply must visit the most famous beach in Puerto Vallarta. Stretched along the Cuale River, you can see miles of natural yellow sand surrounded by the ocean. There are plenty of things to do at Playa Los Muertos, like chilling at the famous Blue Chairs Beach Club while the friendly staff serves you cocktails nonstop. If you prefer to lay out by a pool, Blue Sunset Rooftop is the best spot to be, with a bird’s eye view of the ocean.
Puerto Vallarta is a party town, and you will not be disappointed with its nightlife. If you want to see fabulous drag performance, Paco’s Ranch is the place to be. From drag illusion shows to wholesome (*wink*) shower contests, Paco’s is also a fun discotheque known for upbeat music and great local entertainment.
La Noche, the premier club of Puerto Vallarta, is another must-visit spot. At this massive three-floor building, you can expect lavish acrobatic shows with sexy dancers and fierce drag queens dancing onstage. La Noche also has a beautiful rooftop garden for guests to chill against a panoramic view of the city.
Diva’s Bar, a fun divey spot, is a great place to mingle with locals. The bar also has a live band with fabulous queens performing nightly.
We’re personally obsessed with Blondies. This ultra-chic lounge has an extensive drink menu, from frozen cocktails to premium beverages. Guests can also relax at the second-floor loft while gossiping and laughing in an intimate environment.
Wet Dreams, with its sleek décor, is another favorite bar frequented by tourists. Don’t miss the shower show setup in front of the bar with regular “live entertainment.” You’ll be mesmerized by the sexy go-go boys dancing seductively in the tightest of skivvies. Antropology, dubbed the “Gentlemen’s Club for Gays,” features sexy Latin dancers and always guarantees a wild night. The dancers here are hot and sexy. Plus, they’re always eager to show off their goods publicly.
Puerto Vallarta Pride
Celebrating its fifth year in May 2017, Puerto Vallarta Pride includes a festival — featuring its diverse local LGBTQ community — as well as cultural events and huge parties. If you’re in Puerto Vallarta that last week of May, you’ll have no choice but to take part in this fantastic event.
