Eff U, Trump U
President-elect Donald Trump has agreed to pay $25 million to those he duped as part of his Trump University. The settlement closes the chapter on numerous lawsuits stemming from the for-profit education venture, and puts to rest the fraud allegations that have dogged him for years.
Trump has made three more appointments to his cabinet, including Tea Party Kansas Rep. Mike Pompeo as CIA Director (who initally supported Rubio’s presidential bid and who has called Islamic leaders “potentially complicit” in terrorism), Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions for Attorney General (a vocal opponent of same-sex marriage) and Gen. Mike Flynn as National Security Adviser (Trump’s top military adviser during the campaign, dismissed from the Pentagon for his combative style). These are of course in addition to Reince Priebus as Chief of Staff and Steve Bannon as Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor, which were also met with derision by many.
Go West, Kanye. (Or East. We Don’t Care.)
It was only a matter of time before Kanye West piped up about the election, right? On Thursday night, onstage during the San Jose stop of his Saint Pablo Tour, West revealed he would have canceled out his wife’s vote for Hillary Clinton by voting for Donald Trump—that is, if he’d bothered to vote at all. According to the San Jose Mercury News, the audience threw things at him and complained he talked too much.
Despite Vogue editrix Anna Wintour’s support of Hillary Clinton’s run for presidency, it’s a time-honored tradition that the mag places America’s first lady on its cover, and that isn’t likely to change just because instead of Bill Clinton, that person is going to be Melania Trump. One designer, though—Sophie Theallet, who happens to be a fave of Michelle Obama—has said she’ll take no part in dressing Melania as a protest of Orange Cosby’s bigoted speech and policy.
Like much of the interwebs, we’re loving Britney Spears’ new video for “Slumber Party” (check out our tutorial for creating your own Brit-worthy sleepover here), but what really caught our eye wasn’t the choreography or the guest spot by Tinashe. (Love her.) It was Sam Asghari (pictured at top), a fitness model who you may remember from Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home” video. Check out his Instagram here, though after visiting you may need to cover your crotch with a Trapper Keeper.
Aye, Aye, Captain America
Only the most devout of comic book fans whill know Dennis “Demoliton Man” Dunphy, who debuted 31 years ago in The Thing #28. He’s recently been brought back into the Captain America universe, and Captain America: Sam Wilson #15 shines a spotlight on the character, who also happens to be a mohawk-donning wrestler. Well, he’s gay, according to a kiss-on-the-cheek he got from his partner in the comic’s pages. Bonus: Both Demolition Man and his partner are sexy gingers.
It’s doubtful that many Unicorn Booty readers are fans of Duck Dynasty, so you’ll be pleased to hear that following the upcoming 11th season, the show will be no more. It was 2013 when patriarch Phil Robertson was suspended from the series after homophobic and racist remarks to GQ magazine.
AHS Excitement Never Ends
With Wednesday night’s finale of American Horror Story, people are already starting to guess what Season 7’s theme will be. Following the finale, the official AHS Twitter account posted a short video of crashing waves with the message “Sweet dreams,” leading some to think we may be getting American Horror Story: Cruise.
Soccer Is Better Without Pants, We Say
A recent World Cup qualifying soccer match between Bosnia and Greece saw Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko wrestle the shorts off Greek defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos. (AKA the reason we watch the sport.) A kerfuffle broke out following the incident, resulting in both players being handed red cards by the ref.
A Mighty Morphin’ Marriage Proposal
