As if Donald Trump’s relationship with his daughter Ivanka wasn’t gross enough, we’ve just got word that Trump prefers it when Ivanka calls him “Daddy.” At a speech in Mandan, North Dakota, Trump invited Ivanka onstage:
“By the way, Ivanka Trump? Everybody loves Ivanka Trump. Sometimes I’ll say, ‘He can’t be that bad a guy. Look at Ivanka.’ Come on up, honey. She’s so good. She wanted to make the trip. She said, ‘Dad, can I go with you?’ She actually said ‘Daddy, can I go with you?’ I like that. I said ‘Yes, you can.’ ‘Where you going?’ “North Dakota.’ ‘Oh, I like North Dakota.’ Hi, honey.”
Ivanka then comes up to confirm the Trumps’ love of North Dakota.
“Hi, North Dakota. We love this state. So it’s always a pleasure to be back here. You treated us very, very well in November, and have continued to. And we like sharing the love back.”
At which point, Ivanka tries to leave the stage having given her important speech about the importance of North Dakota, but the President won’t let her leave. He grabs her for a kiss before she’s allowed to go back into the wings.
Of course, Trump’s famous for creeping on his own daughter. He once said “If Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”
Trump has talked about his daughter’s appearance a number of times. During the 1997 Miss Teen USA pageant, hosted by Ivanka (who was then 16), Trump said to Miss Universe, “Don’t you think my daughter’s hot? She’s hot, right?” He’s also called her “voluptuous” and “a piece of ass.”
Apparently creepiness abounds in the Trump White House. Trump crushes on his daughter, while Mike Pence calls his wife “mother.” Not only that, but Pence isn’t allowed to be alone with women other than his wife.
As if Trump and Pence’s politics weren’t gross enough.
