WATCH: Lisa Lampanelli Confronts ‘Fag Haters’

Not so sure about chanting “We’re queer, we’re here and we take it in the rear” as a response to the Westboro Baptist Church…but it sure is fun to watch comedian Lisa Lampanelli confront the WBC protestors at her show in Topeka, Kansas – and then pledge to donate $1,000 for every one of the protestors to the Gay Men’s Health Crisis!

Lisa told TMZ: “It’s gonna be hilarious to write out the checks to the GMHC and have them send thank you notes to the WBC for their ‘generous contributions.’ I’d love to see their inbred faces when they open those thank you notes! Hopefully their jaws will drop so fast that their three remaining teeth and cro-magnon foreheads will plummet to the floor.”

Good for Lisa! These fearful people can be very dangerous. It is up to us to stand up to them, to laugh in the face of hate and to love in the face of those who would commit murder, if they could.
Make no mistake, these Westboro Loons can be either a huge threat, or a cadre of froot loops, depending upon the media coverage we give them.
Going at them with hatred is what they want, so Lisa’s approach is perfect! Humor to defuse them, to remind us that they can only be as powerful as we allow. Since there are more of “us” than there are of “them”, we can drown them out, we can be louder in our love than they in their hatred.

Honestly the most disturbing part of that video is the CHILDREN out there holding the hate signs.

  • ShowMeGuy

Those children would be happier at home playing video games.  The Westboro Phelps freaks drag some of their children to their protests and use them as *shields*.  Who would dare throw raw eggs or spray down their group with a fire extinguisher when children are present?  Then Westboro sings about the gays and their friends as being animals for attacking children.

Where was the counter-protest with signs saying “Least we don’t drag children into grown up issues”, “My sons safe at home doing homework, why is yours here” and so on how ashamed do you think they would be or is it like extremists.
