After Being Fired, Perez Hilton Breaks Down in Bizarre YouTube Video

Perez Hilton may be a lot nicer than he used to be, but it seems many won’t let him forget his past. In a new video, he laments his reputation as a bully, as it seems to have lost him a recent gig.

“There is a reason this happened, and I’m sorry,” Hilton declares in the rather bizarre video he uploaded to YouTube on Aug. 13. “I’m sorry again, I guess I have to say that again more often. I’m sorry.”

Hilton doesn’t divulge any details on the role that he was fired from, or where he was working, as he is too “professional” for that sort of thing.

According to Hilton, he may have damaged his children’s future due to his past actions.

“It will continue to be hard for me,” he claims. “And I’m sorry to my kids, because I know that when they get older they are going to have to suffer because of who their dad is.”

Hilton claims “everyone loved me” in the job he was fired from, even though he “ultimately deduced” he “was the problem.”

The blogger claims higher-ups decided “Perez Hilton shouldn’t have this opportunity.”

“That just made me really sad. To know that, sure, I am opinionated and sassy, but I have changed. I am not being purposely cruel towards people. I am not giving people awful nicknames or doodling inappropriate things on photos. I have grown. I have evolved, and yet, despite that a lot of people aren’t willing to let me continue to grow.”

“I will overcome,” he claims in the video.

In 2011, Hilton decided he would no longer use his very popular gossip website to bully celebrities. Who helped him come to this life-changing decision? Jennifer Aniston.

Hilton historically referred to Aniston as “Maniston,” claiming she looked like a man. So when Aniston saw Hilton in a parking garage, she went right up to him and confronted the raconteur in real life.

Aniston told Ellen DeGeneres on her show:

“I ran into Perez Hilton in a garage. One of those moments you just never expect to happen. I had finished dinner with a girlfriend and we were driving out and I saw this tall, long, lean person and I say, “Who is that?” And she says, “I think that’s Perez Hilton.” I said, “No. I have to say something to him. I have to.” So I pulled up and we were sort of scoping each other out as I was pulling the car up. I just rolled down the window and I was like, “Hi.” And he went, “Hi.” We stood there like two deer in headlights. And I just said, “Come here. Just talk to me for a second.” It was one of those great moments. It was a lovely meeting, and I was just like, “Why are you so mean?”

Earlier that year, Hilton told DeGeneres, “Over the last two weeks I have been doing everything I can to bring awareness to the teen suicides and gay bullying. In doing so, a lot of people have called me a hypocrite and a bully myself and a big one. … From now on I really want to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.”

The problem is that he went on Celebrity Big Brother after his alleged change of heart and was even more of a bully and an insufferable creep than most people could have imagined.

Those chickens have come home to roost. Deal with it.
