PICS: Celebrate Bi-Visibility Week With Celebs You Didn’t Know Were Bi

This post is also available in: Portuguese

Bi-Visibility Week is almost over for another year — but we can fight bi-erasure anytime! In fact, LET’S START RIGHT NOW. Facebook user Laurel A. McDonald has put together a wonderful gallery of famous bisexuals for you to learn from and share. In her words:

Although surveys have revealed that roughly 40 percent of people in the LGBT+ community identify as bisexual, less than 30 percent are out to even the most important people in their lives, as opposed to over 70 percent of gays and lesbians. Plus bisexuals are more likely to experience depression, suicidal thoughts, physical and sexual assault, and increased health risks and pregnancy at a higher rate than monosexuals. This is likely due to discrimination, biphobia, and unfounded stigmas from both the straight and queer communities.

So McDonald put together over fifty images of famous bi folks (many we didn’t even realize were bi), and we’ve chosen some of our favorites. Be sure to check out the full gallery!
