Pink Supports Her Daughter’s Desire to Marry a Woman and Dress ‘Like a Boy’

In a recent interview, pop star Pink revealed that she has been raising her two kids as gender neutral, that she considers herself as a “pre-teen” boy and that her six-year-old daughter Willow wants to marry an African woman.

The backstory behind the Pink gender-neutral stance

In the interview, the 38-year-old musician mentioned that her daughter’s school has a bathroom outside of the kindergarten with a sign reading “Gender Neutral – anybody.” She posted a picture of it with a caption reading, “Progress.”

“I thought that was awesome,” Pink said. “I love that kids are having this conversation.”

She added:

We are a very label-less household. Last week Willow told me she is going to marry an African woman. I was like: ‘Great, can you teach me how to make African food?’ And she’s like: ‘Sure mama, and we are going to live with you while our house is getting ready.’ I was like ‘What the fuck? Who are you? Who is paying for this by the way?'”

During the interview she also joked, “I’m still a 12-year-old boy,” even though she added, “I’m much more mum than I am anything else.”

We got a peek at the Pink gender-neutral stance earlier this year

In her August 2017 speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, Pink recounted the bullying that her daughter received at school for looking “like a boy.” In response, she made a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the awesomeness of androgynous rock stars and “artists that live their truth” like Annie Lenox, Prince, Janis Joplin and George Michael.

She ended that speech with the words, “So you see, baby girl, we don’t change. We take the gravel in the shell and we make a pearl. And we help other people to change so that they can see more kinds of beauty. And you, my darling girl, are beautiful, and I love you.”

In her recent interview, Pink called her kids “the two best decisions I ever made,” and added, “Every decision I make is a choice because it affects my family. I do bake sales and lemonade stands. I take my kid to school and try to get there on time. I’m a fucking grown up now, it’s so weird. ”

Lastly, beyond the Pink gender-neutral comments, she revealed that her daughter calls U.S. President Donald Trump “Donald Duck Trumpet.” She admitted:

I don’t correct her. And I should, because it’s disrespectful, but it’s like – ‘fuck it’. I feel like we are all in this permanent state of ‘Fuck it.’ I can’t imagine being a third-grader and this being the first example of what it means to be President.

I throw my hands up in the air every day. It’s unbelievable. It’s not funny at all. It’s un-fucking-believable. I want to skip ahead to the part that it’s over and we start the clean-up process.
