Watch These Queens Give GOP Politicians the Drag Names They Deserve

This Monday on @Midnight, Comedy Central’s late-night faux game show, three of our favorite RuPaul’s Drag Race queens appeared: Katya Zamolodchikova, Ginger Minj and Alaska Thunderfuck. And the episode made us wonder why they don’t have drag queens on every night.

Though the entire episode was amazing — how could it not be? — the highlight was when the three queens played “Re Pub’s Drag Race.” In the game, the queens come up with new drag names for anti-gay Republicans.

The queens don’t hold back. Ginger Minj named Steve Bannon “Rosacea O’Donnell.” Katya opts for a history pun when she calls Sean Spicer “Melissa McCarthyism.” But our favorite is Alaska’s perfect name for Ted Cruz: The Unfuckable Kimmy Schmidt. (It’s so true! He’s so unfuckable! AND his politics seem like the result of being trapped underground for 15 years without any idea of the real world!)

This isn’t the first time drag queens have been on @Midnight. Late last year, Willam Belli was on and it made our top moments of 2016 list.

Earlier in the day, the three queens did a live-stream eating dinner and chatting with fans. In that we get the scoop that Alaska won Season 9 — they just had her back and crowned her. In real news, Katya says she’ll be in Scotland next month, so UK fans get ready!

Near the 8 minute mark of the dinner video, the queens talk about the Season 9 reunion episode. Valentina is pretty popular — especially as far as Alaska is concerned.

The entire episode of @midnight is available on the Comedy Central website. It will be free for everyone for one week, though after that, you’ll need to login to the Comedy Central site to see it.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 finale airs Friday, June 23 at 9 p.m. on VH1.
