Simon & Schuster Just Gave Milo Yiannopoulos a Book Deal, Those Bastards

Apparently Simon & Schuster—specifically its imprint Threshold Editions—doesn’t mind giving a voice to hate speech. Milo Yiannopoulos, an openly gay alt-right spokesperson and Twitter troll best known for getting banned from the social media platform, has reportedly been given a $250,000 book deal advance.

“They said banning me from Twitter would finish me off. Just as I predicted, the opposite has happened,” Yiannopoulos told THR. “Did it hurt Madonna being banned from MTV in the 1990s? Did all that negative press hurt Donald Trump’s chances of winning the election?”

Yiannopoulos was famously banned from Twitter back in July after saying atrocious, racist things to SNL and Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones and encouraging his followers to do the same.

Despite reaching out for comment, Threshold and Simon & Schuster didn’t respond to THR, though the outlet reported the Breitbart editor’s hefty advance.

“I met with top execs at Simon & Schuster earlier in the year and spent half an hour trying to shock them with lewd jokes and outrageous opinions. I thought they were going to have me escorted from the building—but instead they offered me a wheelbarrow full of money,” he told THR. “Every line of attack the forces of political correctness try on me fails pathetically. I’m more powerful, more influential and more fabulous than ever before, and this book is the moment Milo goes mainstream. Social justice warriors should be scared—very scared.”

Yiannopoulos is reportedly also filming his “Dangerous Faggot Tour” of college campuses, which will be turned into a feature-length documentary.

In September, OUT magazine faced serious backlash over its decision to profile the “gay alt-right crusader.”

UPDATE: The Chicago Review of Books has said, “In response to this disgusting validation of hate, we will not cover a single Simon & Schuster book in 2017.” WOW.

    Milo is fabulous!

  • C.A. Kingsley

Fabulously racist and filled with hate.

  • Pucktard

Hmm, he sleeps with black men and counters the Feminist hate movement. I don’t think you have a clue what Milo is about.

One is fully capable of fetishizing or denigrating a partner’s race while still being fully committed to a relationship with a partner. Ask my abusive ex fiancé who hated white people but ‘loved’ me.

  • Pucktard

Seems you have issues with “projecting”.

  • C.A. Kingsley

Or I know how to read Milo’s Twitter posts…?

  • Pucktard

Then you should have no problem providing an example of his racism and hate that you refer to.
