If there’s anyone out there who continues to watch The View (Bueller? Bueller?) then you most likely saw Tomi Lahren — current darling of the United States’ conservative movement — sit down with the ladies on Friday morning to discuss some “hot topics.” The episode saw her spout her typical talking points, most of which begin with the phrase “But Obama!” Interestingly, though, what caught most liberals’ attention is something Lahren mentioned at the end of her eight-minute segment: She’s pro-choice.
There is an update at the bottom of this story.
“I’m pro choice, and here’s why,” Lahren told The View‘s five panelists. “I am a constitutional, y’know, someone that loves the Constitution. I’m someone that’s for limited government. So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies. I can sit here and say that — as a Republican — and I can say, ‘You know what, I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well.'”
While this revelation likely came as no shock to some of Lahren’s die-hard conservative fans (Lahren claims she “speaks to women about” her pro-choice stance “every day,” though we haven’t seen that), most of us “libtards” had no idea this mouthpiece for newly of-age sorority sisters in middle America was capable of a cogent argument.
And to be sure, she probably does get some flack for her (well-reasoned) stance. As Sonny Hostin noted (she’s one of The View‘s current hosts — we had no idea, either), 68% of conservatives consider themselves “anti-abortion.”
“I get a lot of attacks from conservative women as well,” Lahren told the crowd. “Equal hate from all sides for me!”
And now it looks like some of that hate comes from her (former) fans who had no idea she supported baby murder! She’s of course been attacked mercilessly on Twitter for her pro-choice stance, including catching less-than-friendly fire from her own boss, Glenn Beck.
Unfortunately, we can’t pretend that despite Lahren’s stance on this one issue being coherent — and, well, actually pro-woman — she isn’t still a shill for the insanity of the GOP.
Lest we forget, Lahren is still an appalling person. She has still referred to the #BlackLivesMatter movement as “the new KKK,” doesn’t believe in climate change and thinks Democrats want to “come for her guns.”
And to think, all it took for Lahren to alienate herself from the only people who can stomach her was to say something half-way intelligent. Who knew?

UPDATE, March 20, 2017: While Tomi Lahren’s contract with TheBlazeTV is reportedly up in September, it’s being reported that she’s been suspended for at least one week.
Founder of TheBlaze, Glenn Beck, took to Twitter to criticize Lahren for what he felt weren’t “intellectually honest” comments on The View:
