The Shirtless Tongan Olympian Got Oiled Up Again for the 2018 Opening Ceremony (Video)

Last night, 34-year-old Tongan Olympic athlete Pita Taufatofua repeated his schtick from the 2016 Rio Summer Games by serving as Tonga’s shirtless, oiled up flag-bearer. He dressed once again in his country’s traditional garb during the Winter Games opening ceremonies’ Parade of Nations. The display of Tonga Winter Olympics pride will air tonight in America, but here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come.

If you recall, in Rio Taufatofua competed as a judo fighter in Rio but ended up losing after his first match. He’s now in Pyeongchang, South Korea competing as a cross country skier even though it doesn’t even snow in Tonga. He crowdsourced funds for his training and qualified for the Winter Games at the end of January 2018.

It was reportedly -2 degrees Celsius (28 degrees Fahrenheit) at last night’s opening ceremonies — pretty cold. But it didn’t stop Taufatofua from looking pretty hot as he strutted his stuff and waved his country’s flag.

Here are some videos of some sexy Tonga Winter Olympics fun with Pita Taufatofua:

Taufatofua is literally the only competitor from his country at this year’s Winter Olympics. In fact, Tonga has only ever had one other competitor qualify during the Winter Olympics’ entire history: a luge racer in the 2014 Sochi Winter Games named Bruno Banani. Banani actually changed his name as part of a marketing ploy with a German lingerie company right before the games, something the Vice President of the International Olympic Committee called “in bad taste.”

Tonga has only ever won one Olympic medal in the Atlanta 1996 Summer Games for boxing.

Here’s a picture of Pita Taufatofua because why not:

After Taufatofua’s oily appearance in the 2016 Summer Games, travel searches to Tonga and local coconut oil sales both went up as a direct result. If you’re interested in either, Taufatofua also has a steamy Instagram.
