Trayvon Dickerson –also known as Trayoncé– is a 19-year-old freelance makeup artist and waiter from Texas.
He was trending online over the past few days when he showcased his flawless looks on the #BlackGaySlay hashtag.
Well, one Twitter troll decided to make a horrible joke at Dickerson’s expense.
The online bully tweeted:
Ya son come home from college like this, crying asking you to accept him, what you doing? pic.twitter.com/pKRzEeY7o1
— CHAR ?? (@TrueCharLen) February 11, 2017
How horrible is that?
“I felt he dragged me down in that tweet. I don’t understand why he is asking others about me. … He never asked people to use my picture or my identity for the tweet,” Dickerson told Buzzfeed.
Dickerson responded in the best way possible; with humor, dignity and class.
Dickerson tweeted back:
# I wouldn’t cry if not one soul on this earth didn’t accept me for ME
#2 You’re lame as fuck
#3 Next time you want clout off me, “@” me boo https://t.co/jeBXlBqAp8

When talking about why people say these type of hurtful things on social media, Dickerson explains, “They are fragile with their masculinity and they can’t accept the fact men like men, but it’s 2017! Get over it.”
“I am me and the only person who has to deal with me is me,” he said. “Everyone in my family supports me wholeheartedly. Why are you bringing homophobia and negativity to this area?”
Many people on social media – many who don’t even know Dickerson– came to the 19-year-old’s defense. These people give him hope that maybe not everybody out there is so bad after all. He said, “There’s not a lot of people in this world that would step forward and show support, so everyone who did — they are so amazing and I love them.”
