Oscars Fashion 2018: Here Are the Night’s Best Dressed Actors and Actresses

Last year, Moonlight walked away with the Oscars biggest prize in a pretty dramatic way. This year, several best picture nominees also share some LGBTQ themes, including Call Me by Your Name, Lady Bird, and Shape of Water.
We also got to see another queer first at this year’s Academy Awards, as Yance Ford, director of Strong Island, became the first openly transgender filmmaker to have a film nominated. Ford walked proudly with Strong Island writer and producer, Joslyn Barnes at this Sunday’s event.
Along with Ford and Barnes, we saw many other celebrities strut down the red carpet serving some high fashion looks. The ladies dressed to the nines, in beautiful haute couture gowns and fancy jewelry. But don’t be fooled, the gentlemen glammed it up too, showing us their rather dapper side via tuxes.
Out Olympian Adam Rippon was the at forefront of making men’s fashion at the Oscars exciting to watch. Rippon broke from the traditional suit/tux norms and wore a leather harness with his tux, directly from Moschino’s Fall/Winter 2018 runway.
Other actors, while not as bold as Rippon, showed off their fun sense of style too. Darrell Britt-Gibson, an actor nominated for, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, shined on the red carpet in a pink tuxedo jacket.
