If you like RuPaul’s Drag Race (and speak Thai) then you’ll love RuPaul’s Drag Race Thailand. It’s an actual thing — or at least it will be in the near future. The production team behind it just shared some images from the Thai workroom and runway, and the sets look simply sickening — yasssssss! Bring on the ladyboys!

So, in October 2017, Piyarat Kaljareuk — Vice President of Katana Group Public Co. Ltd, a production company that’s reportedly one of Thailand’s biggest and oldest — announced via Instagram that Thailand would soon have their own version of Drag Race.

Right now the details are few. It’s not entirely clear when the show will air, who will judge or whether it’ll follow the exact same format of the U.S. version of RuPaul’s Drag Race, though we do know that this version has the blessing of RuPaul and World of Wonder, the production company behind Drag Race and other delightfully queer projects.

Here are the runway and workroom of RuPaul’s Drag Race Thailand:

Both of those look bonkers (in the best way): Between all the crazy colors on runway and workroom walls, queens are gonna be having seizures up in there — and we are here for it. (Hopefully the show will be subtitled and available in other countries.)

Interestingly, there have also been rumors of different German, Brazilian and U.K. versions of the show, but so far none of them seem to have been able to get off the ground.

It’s all gossip, but according to Reddit fans, the German version allegedly couldn’t find a host or a broadcaster willing to go all in. The Brazilian version is rumored to start in September 2018, but yet again, this is just a rumor.

As for the U.K.-version, in August 2017, Drag Race judge Michelle Visage told the DragWorld U.K. convention in London, “It’s going to happen, just don’t know when.” She also said that fans should persuade the nation’s TV producers to buy into the project, which means it likely won’t happen anytime soon.
